Our Story

Planet Hope is a charitable, non-profit, 501(c)3 organization celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2017. Founded by two sisters, Kelly and Sharon Stone, Planet Hope provides outreach and educational resources to homeless, abused, and terminally ill children and their families. Planet Hope was founded by women, and it is guided by women with an unfaltering mission. That mission is to empower and embolden those living in crisis and to inspire hope in their daily lives.

Over the last 25 years, Planet Hope has provided personal development programming to these at-risk youth and their families living at, or below the poverty line. These programs include medical and dental fairs, back to school clothes and supplies, job fairs, summer camps, field trips, shoe distribution, holiday parties, backpack food programs, winter coat distribution, make-over days and job fairs for mothers.

Hope for the Holidays has provided nearly 400,000 toys to date to children living in homeless shelters and hospitals coping with incurable illnesses. Each gift is carefully chosen and wrapped with each child's name by our hundreds of volunteers.

Planet Hope is funded solely by private donations from individuals and foundations.  We depend on the generosity and kindness of people like you to help us fund and achieve our mission of making our world a better place.
